Second Episode of Brewers “The Firemen” Available Now – Takes Deep Dive into Performance Anxiety with Hoby Milner
Episodes Follow Multiple Players and the Intensity That Accompanies the Significant Role of the Bullpen
MILWAUKEE – Last month, the Milwaukee Brewers successfully launched “The Firemen,” a multi-episode docuseries capturing the essential and pivotal role of the bullpen, a collective who through the Brewers player development program and coaching have become a source of strength for the team over the past several seasons.
The first installment of the series introduced the bullpen, including Milner, Abner Uribe and Devin Williams, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the bullpen, the camaraderie shared and the challenges faced. The Milwaukee Brewers have established themselves as a club that can nurture and produce outstanding pitching, and this series will dive into the players who take on this role with pride and valor.
Further installments in this six-episode series will dive into what it’s like to hold one of the most unique roles in sports and what it takes, mentally and physically, to make it as a Major League reliever.
The series includes insight and commentary from Bob Nightengale, Major League Baseball insider and columnist for USA Today and Tyler Kepner, Senior Writer for The Athletic covering MLB and previously of the The New York Times.
Further, fans will hear from Brewers personnel including – Charlie Greene, Bullpen Coach; Daniel De Mondesert, Assistant Coach; Jim Henderson, Assistant Pitching Coach; and Walker McKinven, Run Prevention Coordinator.
