AFP-WI Responds to Governor Evers’ State of the State Address

By - Jan 24th, 2024 07:58 am

Last night, Governor Tony Evers gave his State of the State Address.

AFP-WI State Director Megan Novak released the following response after the Governor’s address:

“Wisconsin families feel the weight of Bidenomics and Baldwinflation, and it’s disheartening to see Governor Evers’ agenda aligned with Washington’s failing policies. Despite a record state surplus nearing $7 billion, Evers refuses to put money back in the hands of everyday taxpayers. We are concerned that essential tax-cuts and much-needed relief for Wisconsinites are not high on the Governor’s priority list. It’s time for Evers to set aside the veto pen, put partisanship aside, and deliver real, significant relief for hardworking Wisconsinites.
