DMV takes action against two Milwaukee motor vehicle dealers
Following an investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Dealer and Agent Section, the state of Wisconsin took the following action on the motor vehicle dealer license for these two Milwaukee-area dealers:
- Sherman Auto Empire, LLC. The dealer license was revoked for violating state law when they performed unlicensed sales, failed to transfer titles and deliver title applications to the department within seven business days, and failed to make records available. Sherman Auto Empire’s license was revoked effective December 21, 2023.
- Isaacs Kar Enterprise, LLC. The dealer license will be suspended for seven business days, beginning January 1, 2024, for violating state law when they failed to disclose vehicle conditions in the Buyer’s Guide. The decision to suspend was affirmed by a hearing examiner decision on December 1, 2023. Following a 30-day appeal period, the suspension became final on January 1, 2024.
WisDOT’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers
