Impact100 Greater Milwaukee Awards $405,000 in Grants to Five Local Nonprofits; Surpasses $2.4M in Member Collective Giving

MILWAUKEE – The members of Impact100 Greater Milwaukee, an organization of women committed to collective philanthropy, recently voted to award $405,000 to five local nonprofit organizations at the June 8th Annual Awards Celebration. With this year’s grant awards, the members of Impact100 have contributed more than $2.4M in seven years to the four-county Greater Milwaukee area.

Tracy Gobis, the organization’s president, credited the efforts of area nonprofits for the continuing financial commitment of Impact100 members, “Our annual grant process brings members a deeper understanding of critical community needs and what our $100,000 grants can do to support the change-making ideas of organizations in the four-county area.”

The following nonprofits received $100,000 Impact grants:

Hope Street   https://www.hopestreetministry.org/

Victory Garden Initiative  https://victorygardeninitiative.org

 

Radio Milwaukee received an Impact100 merit award.

Incoming Impact100 president, Stacy Scheffer said, “What a milestone to have given more than $2.4 million to our Greater Milwaukee community. Moving into our eighth year, we thank all the women who have invested in our collective philanthropy and look forward to welcoming many new members. There’s a tremendous satisfaction in doing this together.”

Johnson Financial Group was the event’s presenting sponsor.

Formed in 2015, Impact100 Greater Milwaukee is an organization of women leveraging their collective gifts to award $100,000 grants to nonprofit organizations to strengthen the Greater Milwaukee community. Eligible nonprofit organizations from Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha Counties are invited to apply.
