New Statewide Endorsements for Alex Lasry
Milwaukee – Alex Lasry announced today three new endorsements for his campaign for the United States Senate: former State Senator Dave Hansen from Green Bay, former State Assembly member Dana Wachs from Eau Claire, and former Columbia County Democratic Party Chair Mary Arnold, who will also serve as Lasry’s Campaign Treasurer.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to endorse Alex Lasry to be our next United States Senator,” said Mary Arnold. “Alex understands that we need a new voice and a fresh perspective representing us in Washington. I am looking forward to doing everything I can to help get him elected.”
“Too many politicians just talk, Alex gets real things done that help families and improve our state,” said Dave Hansen. “He’s the guy we need in Washington fighting for Wisconsin every day.”
“I am humbled by the support of these key leaders from across the state,” said Alex Lasry. “I am running a grassroots campaign that is built on supporters from every part of Wisconsin. This early show of support from these longtime pillars of the Wisconsin Democratic Party further underscores the statewide support for my candidacy.”
Dave Hansen was a school teacher, a Teamster’s Union steward, and a truck driver for the City of Green Bay, prior to serving in elected office. Hansen served on the Brown County Board of Supervisors from 1996 to 2002 and as a Wisconsin State Senator from 2000 to 2020.
Dana Wachs has practiced law in Eau Claire for over 30 years, currently with Gingras, Thomsen & Wachs. He served on the Eau Claire City Council from 2009-2012, and served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2013 to 2019. He ran for the Democratic nomination for Governor in 2018.
