MCSO Arrests Correctional Officer in Sexual Assault Case
Milwaukee, WI (January 31, 2021) On Wednesday, January 27, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) received an allegation from a woman in our custody of sexual assault by a correctional officer. The Sheriff’s Office immediately began investigating the allegation.
The Sheriff’s Office developed supporting information to make an arrest of the correctional officer on Friday, January 29. He is a 25-year-old Franklin man who has been a correctional officer with MCSO since 2018. He is currently being held in custody, pending a review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell R. Lucas issued the following statement regarding the investigation, “An allegation of this nature not only brings dishonor to the Sheriff’s Office and our profession but violates the public trust that we work so diligently to uphold. Our investigation and arrest affirm our commitment to the public that we hold ourselves to a higher standard and that conduct of this nature will not be tolerated.”
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the matter.
