Brostoff endorses Richards for Wisconsin attorney general
Jonathan Brostoff, candidate for Wisconsin State Assembly District 19, announced his endorsement today of State Representative Jon Richards for Wisconsin attorney general.
MILWAUKEE – Jonathan Brostoff, candidate for Wisconsin State Assembly District 19, announced his endorsement today of State Representative Jon Richards for Wisconsin attorney general.
“Having worked with Jon over the years, I can say that there is no more qualified candidate for the office of attorney general,” Brostoff said in the statement. “He has proven himself to be a principled public servant who is dedicated to justice and the law.”
Jon Richards has served as the state representative of the 19th Assembly District since 1999. He is up for re-election in 2014 but chose to give up his seat to run for attorney general. As a legislator, Rep. Richards has worked to strengthen the criminal justice system, keep our communities safe and create a more open government.
“Jon clearly believes that government and the law are tools to help the people of this state,” Brostoff said. “Law enforcement is not only about punishment, but also promotes justice, equality and rehabilitation. I have been proud to call him my state representative for more than a decade, I am proud to endorse him today, and I will be proud in November to call him my attorney general.”
