WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin released the following statement today calling for the Wisconsin State Legislature to confirm Secretary Brad Pfaff to lead the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

“I have worked across party lines to support Wisconsin farmers and the State Legislature should do the same. State legislative Republicans should not let politics get in the way of helping our farmers when they are dealing with many difficult challenges. We all need to work together to provide our agriculture economy and rural communities the support they need right now. Secretary Pfaff has the experience, qualifications and commitment to do this and the State Legislature should put partisan politics aside and confirm him so he can continue doing his job and we can all get to work putting our Wisconsin farmers first,” said Senator Baldwin.
