MILWAUKEE (Sept. 3, 2019) – Haunted houses, scary movies in The Beer Garden, interactive games, ghoulish food and beverages and more will come to Deer District when the new year-round destination surrounding Fiserv Forum is transformed into Fear District four days a week from Thursday, Sept. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 3.

Entry into Fear District is free. Tickets for the haunted houses go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m., and will be available at FearDistrictMKE.com or the Fiserv Forum Ticket Office. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under and for people 65 and over. A pre-sale runs from Friday, Sept. 6 to Monday, Sept. 9, and tickets can be purchased at FearDistrictMKE.com. Games and food and beverages will be sold separately.

“We are thrilled to bring the unique Halloween experience of Fear District to Milwaukee to deliver a one-of-a-kind Halloween season tradition,” said Michael Belot, Senior Vice President of Bucks Ventures and Development. “Fear District will entertain everybody, making Deer District a must-do destination for Halloween.”

Fear District’s hours of operation will be Thursdays from 6 to 10 p.m., Fridays from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays from 2 to 8 p.m. Fear District will be family-friendly prior to 6 p.m. on weekends, featuring the haunted houses, face-painting, Halloween-themed games and themed food and beverage options. Once night falls, however, the family-friendly scenes will turn frighteningly darker in the walk-through attractions of spine-tingling scares, themed bars and ghoulish entertainment, including free Halloween movies in The Beer Garden on Thursdays starting at 7 p.m.

The movie schedule consists of “Halloween” on Oct. 3, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” on Oct. 10, “A Nightmare on Elm Street” on Oct. 17, “Scream” on Oct. 24, and “Friday the 13th” on Oct. 31.

Fear District will be comprised of three 3,600-square-foot attractions located on the plaza at Fiserv Forum: Vampire Village, where guests must escape the bite of the vampire as they wander through the tombs; Dead Man’s Wharf, where participants will walk the plank with the Buccaneers of Fear; and Scare Acres, where attendees will bear the frights of the farm. Each destination will feature themed games and free photo stations.

In addition to Halloween attractions, games and activities, Fear District will offer a diverse array of themed food and beverages. The Crow’s Nest Bar, as well as three quick service bars, will be sponsored by Jack Daniel’s. The Beer Garden will be sponsored by Door Peninsula Winery and will include the winery’s specialty Halloween wines and a photo booth.

A Bucks Pro Shop trailer will also be stationed on the plaza during Fear District’s hours of operation, selling an assortment of exclusive seasonal merchandise.

Guests of Fear District will be entertained by local performers who will serve as scare actors, ghouls and the hauntingly undead. Deer District, in collaboration with Oak Island Creative, is holding open call interviews for scare actors.

The next interviews will take place on Friday, Sept. 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Milwaukee Bucks Administrative Offices, 1543 N. 2nd St., Sixth floor, Milwaukee. The starting pay is $12 an hour. Candidates may apply in advance at www.oakislandcreative.com/jobs or www.tinyurl.com/MKEhaunt. For more information, email MKEcasting@oakislandcreative.com.
