Potawatomi Hotel & Casino Hosting Huge Kentucky Derby Party

“The Run For the Roses” just part of day-long excitement

MILWAUKEE (April 16, 2019) – The Kentucky Derby is known as “the fastest two minutes in sports”, but the celebration surrounding the 145th “Run For the Roses” will last much longer than that at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.

Potawatomi is the only place in town you can place a wager on the world’s most famous horse race, which this year is Saturday, May 4th, at the legendary Churchill Downs Race Track in Louisville, Kentucky.

While post time is scheduled for 5:50 pm, guests can place their bets the morning of the race in one of three locations: Potawatomi’s Off-Track Betting facility, the Northern Lights Theater, and the Tribal Room, which will also be broadcasting all of the day’s racing action on big screens live via satellite.

But the Derby fun is about so much more than the racing and wagering – and once again this year the Potawatomi party includes a Hat Contest and special deals on Derby day’s signature drink, the Mint Julep.
