Pet a sturgeon, tour the harbor, see the MKE Boat parade & dance to TheyGuanUS at Harbor Fest – this Saturday

MILWAUKEE (Sept. 5, 2018) – On September 8th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the 600 block of East Greenfield Ave., outside of the UWM School Freshwater Sciences, will be filled with thousands of visitors enjoying food, music and activities that celebrate the revitalization of Milwaukee’s harbor.
The family-friendly festival will feature:
- The Boone & Crockett stage will feature live music all day long from TRUE Skool, Sindoolaa, TheyGuanUS – Milwaukee’s best Latin American Reggae Fusion band
- The Milwaukee RiverKeeper’s MKE Boat Parade at noon
- Fillet a fish with the Wisconsin DNR
- Free pontoon boat tours of the harbor
- Free paddling lessons and bike tours from Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers
- Pet a sturgeon courtesy of Riveredge Nature Center
- The Container’s Up Bar featuring Enlightened Brewing
- The Sprecher Ambulance with cold root beer on tap
- Food from Snack Boys, Pedro’s Food Cart, Usinger’s and more
- The Milwaukee Bucks Dancers and Hoop Troop
- Go on a Scavenger Hunt through the Harbor District and win a foam fish head from the Original Cheesehead
