MILWAUKEERiver Rhythms, downtown Milwaukee’s destination for music on Wednesday evenings, welcomes Altered Five Blues Band to the stage on Wednesday, August 1st. The free concert series takes place from 6:30 – 9 p.m. every Wednesday through August 29th in Pere Marquette Park on Old World Third Street between State and Kilbourn.

Originally formed in 2002, Altered Five Blues Band quickly became known for their inventive arrangements and distinctive sound. Now 16 years later, this quintet continues to win audiences with their swaggering stomp of bruising, barrelhouse grit. Even with four albums under their belt, the band continues to make large waves in the blues music scene and even had their most recent album nominated for a prestigious Blues Music Award in the category of “Best Emerging Artist Album.”

Miller products, Malibu & Absolut cocktails, wine and soda will be available at the Westown beverage tent with all proceeds going to benefit the free event. Patrons can also enjoy food options from local food trucks and restaurants.

New this year: concert attendees will now have more parking options available to them.  Parking will be provided by Interstate Parking at 751 North Plankinton Avenue and 601 West State Street for $3.00 with code 0004.

Next week, River Rhythms welcomes the Five Card Studs to the stage! Find the rest of the 2018 River Rhythms line-up at: https://www.westown.org/neighborhood-events/river-rhythms-2/
