Statement from DPW on the harm Gov. Walker has done to Wisconsin classrooms
"Wisconsin students can't afford another minute of Scott Walker's disastrous education policies, let alone another four years."
MADISON — Today Gov. Scott Walker continues to promote his visits to schools in an attempt to cover up his established record of years of cuts to public education that have forced districts to go to referendum and voluntarily raise their own taxes just to fund their classrooms and make needed improvements.
Below is a statement from the Democratic Party of Wisconsin on Walker’s true impact on schools across Wisconsin.
“Scott Walker cut more than a billion dollars from our public classrooms while giving even more money to his corporate donors and special interests,” said Melanie Conklin, communications director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. “As a result, Wisconsin faces a severe teacher shortage and underfunded schools. Wisconsin students can’t afford another minute of Scott Walker’s disastrous education policies, let alone another four years.”
