Charisse Daniels Announces Candidacy for Wisconsin’s 37th Assembly District
Daniels will prioritize public safety, education, and an economy that works for everyone.
Charisse Daniels (D-Watertown) issued the following statement on her decision to run for Assembly in Wisconsin’s 37th District:
“As a working mom of 4 beautiful children, educator, and child and family advocate, I understand the devastating effects of the Republican majority’s inaction on the issues that matter most to my community. The time for complacency and status quo thinking is over. We need new leadership and fresh ideas in my district so we can work together to move Wisconsin forward.
“As a mom, I often tell my kids if they work hard enough then there is no opportunity out of reach. However, in this current political climate, that statement seems further and further from the truth. When I am elected, I will fight for strong public schools, women’s rights, common sense public safety legislation, and an economy that works for everyone; not just those at the top. Hardworking families in Wisconsin deserve a champion on these pressing issues, and I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get the job done.”
Daniels is a Program Instructor for a local Family Resource Center in Watertown. She has nearly a decade of experience working with local non-profit organizations in leadership roles. She has served on numerous statewide boards and advisory committees, including the Governor’s Early Childhood Advisory Council. Daniels and her family live in Watertown.
