MILWAUKEE, WI (May 3, 2018) – Caravan Hospitality Group has taken over the former home of La Fuente Restaurant with Nomad Nacional, an exciting new pop-up bar concept that officially opens to the public Friday, May 4. Located at 625 S. Fifth St., the restaurant space has been transformed into a Latin-inspired version of Mike Eitel’s longstanding Brady Street soccer bar – Nomad World Pub.

“It’s an iconic building in a great location,”Eitel, CEO of Caravan Hospitality Group said. “We’ve had a great week serving our friends and families and can’t wait to welcome our first patrons on Friday.”

The new tavern is designed to be a totally immersive experience. It will feature Caravan’s signature global street food. There won’t be any draft beers on the menu – only cans and bottles, including a new signature brew called “Nomad Summer Ale” created especially for the restaurant by Good City Brewing. The highly drinkable brew is a dry hopped Wheat Ale with tropical notes. Friday, May 4 marks the Good City ¡Nomad! Summer Ale can release party from 5-9p.m. with our full menu and DJ Mikey Fast Life.

While Nomad Nacional is only here for a limited time – Eitel signed a one-year lease and plans to stay open until November – the pop-up already has big plans to make the most of its time, including hosting a month-long World Cup celebration in June. The international soccer telecasts have been a well-received staple at Nomad World Pub, and this year patrons at Nomad Nacional can enjoy the fútbol tournament in the bar’s World Cup FanZone, complete with large TV screens in an outdoor viewing area, live entertainment, a marketplace and space for food trucks.

“It’s an ideal part of the city to have a soccer bar and to celebrate the World Cup,” said Eitel. “We’re thrilled to be offering a place for soccer fans and the community to come together, celebrate and have a great time.”

Nomad Nacional’s will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., Friday & Saturday 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.
