"I am working to earn your trust and vote in August and November 2018, to become your next Milwaukee County Sheriff."

By - Apr 11th, 2018 09:42 pm

“Today, Governor Scott Walker decided to leave it up to the voters of Milwaukee County to elect their next Sheriff. Milwaukee County now has an opportunity to elect a Sheriff with the vision to move beyond the failed policies of the past and restore honor and integrity to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department.

“Milwaukee County can look to a leader with fresh, new and innovative solutions to the problems plaguing the Sheriff’s Department that have led to an out of control budget, costly litigation and a loss of taxpayers’ dollars. Since launching my campaign for Sheriff, I am carrying a message of collaboration, partnership and cooperation to voters all across Milwaukee County to make us strong and safe.

“My experience working with law enforcement, public safety and government officials around the country and world provides me with knowledge, judgment and leadership to move Milwaukee County forward. I am working to earn your trust and vote in August and November 2018, to become your next Milwaukee County Sheriff.”

    Milwaukee’s “Black” Déjà vu

Milwaukee’s Black Community is still Hyper-segregated and is still its nucleus of City poverty, crime, sinking property values and high insurance rates — all while having received millions of federal dollars for 20 or more years.

What happened? Just dare witness how upper-class Black folk flee from the “Central City,” like whites when racist “block-busting” scattered the latter to the suburbs.

Beginning in 1974, the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) created a block grant (CDBG) program to provide cities and states grants to help develop urban communities provide “…decent housing, suitable living environments, and expanded economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.”

Much of Milwaukee’s Inner-city has regularly qualified for CDBG funds. Yet, somehow, during 2016, both Milwaukee’s Departments of “Health and Social Services (HSS) and the Department of Public Works DPW) received federal CDBG funds!

Why was that? Here are two city departments that already receive funds from yearly city, county, state tax revenues, yet somehow become qualified recipients, like the poor, to receive federal CDBG funds! Nor is there evidence anywhere of their specific needs listed on the CDBG program’s application.

And, there has been no reference of any of this by Milwaukee Common Council.

What appears to be is a startling revelation that “Inner-City Poverty” is being “played” by both black and white elected officials, both involved in allowing the use of deteriorating housing, poverty, and now kids (supposedly in schools) who steal cars as poverty criteria!

And, some blame the cops for not chasing them!! Thus, Inner City conditions have worsened not only after receiving grant benefits from federal programs, but city agencies apparently have learned how to “steal” federal grant funds for themselves to please the Mayor, Grunau and to get on the good-side of chief corrupter, Rocky Marcoux.

What significantly emerges is a “government” that has not only has learned how to “blame the victim,” but dares to now “create victims” as well to its own benefit.

AND, both white and black elected officials are guilty of it.
    What do YOU think?
