County Executive Abele Named to Bipartisan Debt Commission
Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele has been appointed to the Wisconsin Campaign to Fix the Debt committee.
Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele has been appointed to the Wisconsin Campaign to Fix the Debt committee. The bipartisan committee is part of the national Campaign to Fix the Debt; an effort launched this summer to help find a balanced approach to fixing the national debt.
“As County Executive, I’m focused on putting Milwaukee County on a sustainable economic path. A big part of that is getting a handle on our massive long term debt,” Abele said. “It’s exciting to be part of this bipartisan movement that is looking to do the same on a national level.”
Abele and other Democrats are joined on the Wisconsin committee by Republicans from across the state.
