St Paul Fish Gives New Meaning to “Ice Fishing”

Milwaukee, WISC – St Paul Fish Company inside the Milwaukee Public Market has given new meaning to the term “ice fishing”. The seafood merchant, known for its $15.95 lobster dinner and popular oyster bar, announced today plans to install a temporary Ice Bar structure around its seasonal outdoor bar area.
The ice structure, created and installed by Art Below Zero of Franksville, Wisc, will be installed on the morning of Friday, January 27, and will be up for six weeks, weather permitting.
“The intersection of Broadway and St Paul Avenue is arguably the busiest in the Third Ward, with a swarm of pedestrian traffic, especially during the warm weather months”, said St Paul Fish owner, Tim Collins. “But Wisconsinites tend to be more resilient to the cold than people realize.
The Ice Bar will consist of a block-ice structure that will surround St Paul Fish’s outdoor bar area along Broadway. It will be open Wednesdays through Sundays during regular market hours. The bar will stay open after market hours during weekends. Seasonal food and drink options will be available to patrons of the bar, which will officially open for business at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27.
