Building and construction worker groups endorse DA John Chisholm

MILWAUKEE – John Chisholm is the clear choice of the workers who build and strengthen Milwaukee, as shown by today’s announcement of endorsements by the Milwaukee Building & Construction Trades Council, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 200, Steamfitters Local 601, and Operating Engineers Local 139. Ironworkers Local 8 and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 494 previously announced their support of District Attorney Chisholm for another term.

“Our thousands of members know that the best choice on August 9 is the current District Attorney, John Chisholm,” said Dan Bukiewicz, President of the Milwaukee Building & Construction Trades Council. “He has the experience, vision, and understanding to ensure our criminal justice system works for every Milwaukee County citizen.”

“John Chisholm is a hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated public servant,” said Thomas Millonzi, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 200. “John has worked tirelessly for a decade to keep Milwaukee County safe while also bringing intelligent and innovative reforms to our criminal justice system. Teamsters Local 200 is proud to stand with DA John Chisholm and our working brothers and sisters in this summer’s primary election.”

“Since taking office, District Attorney John Chisholm has kept the citizens of Milwaukee County safe by holding violent offenders accountable and reforming our criminal justice system,” said Joel Zielke, Business Manager of Steamfitters Local 601. “We need him to stay on the job for the next four years.”
