Where do you work and what makes your role awesomesauce?

I work at Medovations, a gastrointestinal medical device manufacturer on the north end of Milwaukee. Working in the Quality and Regulatory group provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on safety in the health care industry. I have had a great opportunity to make positive changes across the company and am part of a great team that has led to new friendships.

What do you love most about Milwaukee?

I love how Milwaukee ties the community to the lakefront and the area rivers. With the Summerfest Grounds and lake side parks, and the rivers passing through downtown, Milwaukee has made these waterways a part of its entertainment scene and identity.

What local restaurant is at the top of your list?

The must stop restaurant on my list would have to be the Milwaukee Ale House. The Ale House has a great balance of good food and flavorful beers right on the river front. The Milwaukee Brewing Company beers on tap are some of the best in town and you’re sure to find a favorite for any taste.

What is your favorite Milwaukee tradition?

My favorite Milwaukee tradition is Summerfest. Nothing feels more like summer in Milwaukee than joining friends on the lakefront surrounded by good food and good music. With so many bands performing, it’s a challenge not to find great musicians.

What does your ideal Milwaukee weekend look like?

An ideal weekend would include biking along the lakefront on the Oak Leaf trail, canoeing the area rivers, and sampling as many local beers as the remaining time would allow. With a number of new breweries opening Milwaukee locations this year, it is a good time to taste new beers.

What’s your favorite hidden gem or secret fact about the city?

While the Hoan Bridge is one of the most iconic parts of the city skyline, it’s also one of the best ways to view the city. If you’re able to take advantage of the local walks, runs, and rides that pass over the bridge when it’s closed to traffic, you’ll have a chance to enjoy some of the best views of city and lakeshore.
