The Milwaukee County Board Committee on Finance, Personnel and Audit today approved an amendment that provides County employees with a cost-of-living salary adjustment at the same level as recommended by the County Executive. Additionally, Supervisors adopted a measure that would allow County employees to earn additional merit pay as recommended by the County Executive.
The committee responded to the lack of information in the County Executive’s proposed budget about recommended personnel actions, broke the impasse on the unapproved compensation system, and eliminated numerous unfilled positions.
The Committee also adopted an ordinance that dramatically reduced the compensation of County Supervisors to $24,295 and maintained the pay of the County Executive at $129,114.44 beginning with the new term in April 2016.
