Six New Performances Announced
An opera, two comedians, a medium, a poet, and a five time Grammy Award winner - this week's announcements couldn't get much more diverse.
The Met, Blue Collar comedians, and Theresa Caputo are among the lineup. Milwaukee has much to look forward to as we start peeking ahead into the fall season.
Metropolitan Opera
Saturday, September 26th – The Pabst Theater – 7:30 – $49.50
The Metropolitan Opera has been home to some of the greatest singers in the world for 125 years. The Metropolitan Opera Rising Stars Concert Series offers opera fans nationwide to hear some of the most talented young artists on the verge of stardom. The lineup is yet to be announced, but it will include four emerging artists hoping to make it big. Each concert is a popular aria, duet, or ensemble accompanied by the piano.

Dan + Shay
Friday, October 2nd – The Rave – 8 p.m. – $23.50
Like many musical duos, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney met at a late night jam session and began writing music right away. Their style of country has been described as youthful and rich in harmony as influenced by Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, and Tim McGraw. Since their first album released in April of 2014, the pair has launched into stardom with hits like “19 You + Me” and “Nothin’ Like You.” Dan + Shay, each in their twenty-somethings, have already toured with Hunter Hayes and Blake Shelton. Not bad for a couple of rookies.

Theresa Caputo Live! The Experience
Sunday, October 25th – The Milwaukee Theatre – 7 p.m. – $39.75
Theresa Caputo is the star of TLC’s hit show Long Island Medium. The New York native has experienced interaction with spirits since she was four years old and has been a practicing medium for ten years. She is not able to “turn off” her gift, so people who come across Caputo in her daily life often receive spontaneous messages from their departed loved ones. Imagine something like that while you’re grabbing a morning coffee. The show details the complications that come from having special abilities for Caputo as a mother and a wife along with other personal anecdotes. The medium will also provide interactive readings to audience members throughout the show.
