Milwaukee (July 22, 2015) – Assistant Program Director and morning drive-time host Jordan Lee has been named program director of non-comm 88Nine Radio Milwaukee (WYMS 88.9FM).

Lee most recently hosted the station’s weekday morning show and since 2009 has also served as assistant program director. He will no longer host a daily show.

“As assistant program director, Jordan has consistently done exceptional work, led the program team in implementing changes and encouraged excellence from the team,” Radio Milwaukee Executive Director Mary Louise Mussoline said. “In this position, he has also been developing strong industry contacts and worked with top national bands for our Studio Milwaukee on-air shows. Jordan is a rising star.”

Lee said he looks forward to taking programming at the station to the next level. “We’ve done great work here over the last eight years and are making a real difference in the community,” Lee said. “I think I can help bring even more listeners to the station, which will help us make an even greater impact in Milwaukee.”

Lee began at Radio Milwaukee as morning drive-time host in December 2008. Lee and his wife, Sheri, live in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood with their children Alec, Zahra and Xavier.

Lee replaces former PD Sean Demery, who recently resigned to return to his home in Park City, Utah, due to family health matters but will continue to work with the station as a consultant. “Sean worked very hard for us and set the stage for our continued growth,” Mussoline said.

Radio Milwaukee is an award-winning, nonprofit community-supported public radio station (88.9 WYMS-FM and www.radiomilwaukee.org). Radio Milwaukee champions Milwaukee’s music, arts, culture, neighborhoods and community organizations; celebrates diversity; and encourages community engagement.
