Danceworks Performance Company announces 2015-16 season

MILWAUKEE…Danceworks Performance Company (DPC), the resident contemporary dance company of Danceworks, Inc., announces its nineteenth season, offering three concerts. DPC will continue focusing on collaborations with artists from a variety of disciplines in 2015-16. Season subscriptions are on sale now.
Following is the schedule of performances. All concerts will be performed at Next Act Theatre, 255 S. Water St., Milwaukee, WI 53204.
November 5-8, 2015: Footsteps, Shadows and Whispers

The resident dance makers of DPC and guest choreographer Dawn Springer design works that follow mysterious pathways, linger in shadows and whisper secrets, in collaboration with composer Allen Russell and the Tontine Ensemble.

Hark, all ye Appreciators of Movement, Musick and a Story well told! A collaboration with the Chant Clair Chamber Choir and Jason Powell, this Production shall weave such familiar Fantastickal personae as the Princess, the Knight and the Dragon into a new—and quite unfamiliar—Tapestry. With a Score compassing both canonical repertoire and newly penned Ballads, The Quest is a unique blend of the Real and the Magickal.
