As the official “Musical Ambassadors of Goodwill” for the State of Wisconsin, Kids from Wisconsin has been delighting audiences throughout Wisconsin and across the country for 45 years. From the diversity of vocal talent and outstanding instrumentals to the stunning choreography and costumes, KIDS continue to be one of the most popular youth music groups in the Midwest. Their high-energy, exciting performances feature 20 singer/dancers and a 13-piece show band, all chosen from among the State’s finest musicians between the ages of 15 and 20.

Mark Dorn, KIDS producer states, “The uplifting song that opens our show also serves as the theme of the 2014 KIDS program. After 45 summers of high-energy entertainment presented to upwards of 4 million people, we have great excitement about the 2014 season – as the song says, “we put up our hands, like the ceiling can’t hold us!” From Broadway to funk, Duke Ellington to Billy Joel, swing to Fleetwood Mac, we’ll have something for everyone.

As the 2014 theme “Can’t Hold US!” suggests, the popularity of the KIDS continues to grow. Although similar to show choir this may not seem like something for all types of audiences, popular shows such as Glee have shattered this stereotype. Glee, which focuses on how show choir inspires people of all ages and backgrounds, has helped KIDS become even more popular across Wisconsin.

This year’s “Can’t Hold US!” Tour will not only push the limits of musical performance as the KIDS continue to amaze crowds in over 50 cities and at the Wisconsin State Fair twice daily, but they will also be conducting outreach programs in specific cities. The “Realize Your Dream” outreach program will focus on kids ages 8-15 interested in the  performing arts and what it takes to be a KID from Wisconsin.

It is not just their spectacular performances that make KIDS a crowd favorite.  The Kids are known for helping charitable organizations and service clubs by holding benefit concerts that raise thousands of dollars.

The Kids from Wisconsin tour schedule is posted and updated regularly on the website: Visit www.kidsfromwisconsin.org for a performance near you.

The 2014 Premiere Performance is scheduled for June 24th.  Tickets available online.
