Milwaukee’s Top Singles Auctioned For Charity
Auction to benefit Penfield's Children Center, hosted by WGIRLS Milwaukee
They’re attractive, successful and, most importantly, available. WGIRLS Milwaukee, the city’s premiere non-profit organization for young professional women, presents its annual list of Milwaukee’s 24 most eligible singles at wgirls.org, a prelude to the organization’s annual fundraiser, Bachelor & Bachelorette Auction “Meet Your Match”, held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 to benefit Penfield Children’s Center.
To select this year’s top 24 singles, WGIRLS Milwaukee sorted through numerous nominations on wgirls.org. Criteria was based on personality, interests, professional contributions and age. For 2014, WGIRLS Milwaukee presents an impressive mix of entrepreneurs, health professionals, artists, engineers and more, who range in age 22-42.
“Singles in Milwaukee are a unique breed,” says WGIRLS Milwaukee President Rachael Hughes. “They’re accomplished, social and active – and value helping others in the spirit of philanthropy. This year’s list of singles not only make for a great live auction, but they’re the perfect group of people to help us raise money for a non-profit organization that serves over 1,600 Milwaukee children in need.”
The “Meet Your Match” event will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Wherehouse, 818 South Water Street, Milwaukee, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The event benefits Penfield Children’s Center, whose sole purpose is to help infants and young children with and without disabilities to reach their full potential through education, therapy services and family programs. Last year’s event raised $25,000 and drew more than 500 people.
Guests at the event can expect to mingle with this year’s crop of unattached Milwaukeeans and bid to win a pre-planned dream date. The singles selected include Jalem Getz, president of Wantable.com; Mel Hendrickson, a RN at Penfield Children’s Center; Joe Hite, renowned local singer; and Natalie Emmer, a communications professional at Kohl’s. A sneak peek of each bachelor and bachelorette with photos and bios are up for viewing at wgirls.org.
Tickets for the event are $30 in advance at www.wgirls.org or $35 at the door.
WGIRLS Milwaukee President Rachael Hughes and select bachelors and bachelorettes are available for on-air interviews about the “Meet Your Match” event. Contact Amanda Falkowski at 414-550-3057 to schedule an interview.
