Some 30 river miles from Lake Michigan, the Bridge Street Dam in Grafton is the end of the line for native fish swimming upstream in the Milwaukee River after the opening of the Kletzsch fishway in late 2023. Within about a mile downstream, Grafton’s Chair Factory Dam was removed in 2000 and the Lime-Kiln Dam removed in 2010.
