A new bar and hookah lounge called Infinity Lounge is planned for the long-term tavern building 4001 W. Fond du Lac Ave. in the Sherman Park neighborhood, according to a business license application filed with the city.

Infinity Lounge will use the entire first floor of its business for drinking, playing dart games and smoking hookah, according to the application filed by owner Mario Spencer. Spencer also listed poetry readings, dancing, karaoke and a disc jockey as types of entertainment.

On the application, Spencer described the business as a “Milwaukee premier sport’s lounge.”

Spencer wrote that he had previous experience operating this type of business, and specified the “Vibe Lounge,” but did not list that experience in his employment history.

On the plan of operation, the hours of operation are Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Customers would need to be 25 years old.

Spencer bought the property in September 2020 from Jennie Nuell for $50,000. The bar space was previously occupied by All Stars Sports Bar. An apartment is included upstairs. The building, according to the assessor, was constructed in 1894.

Spencer did not respond to Urban Milwaukee’s request for more information.
