You’ve probably heard by now that GOP Wisconsin House member and Grammy Awards devotee Glenn Grothman has accused popular rapper Cardi B of contributing to the decline of American culture.

U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman, a Republican from Glenbeulah, said on the House floor Thursday that rapper Cardi B’s appearance at the Grammy Awards earlier this year was “inconsistent with basic decency” in a speech urging the Federal Communications Commission to ban performances like hers….

Cardi B, who won a Grammy Award in 2019 for best rap album, told her 17.9 million Twitter followers that Grothman should worry about more pressing issues facing the country.

But before you denounce Grothman as some sort of intolerant and small-minded misogynist, you might want to review other weighty matters — like geology, ophiology, the American family, African-American culture, single-parenting, and prejudice against men, which Grothman has analyzed and addressed openly — to better appreciate his mind and heart, including:

Those pesky garter snakes

Kwanzaa is bad and survey research proves it

Black protestors don’t like the family, and more

Well caulking can ward off mining blasting

Public employees should work on MLK Jr. Day

Gals’ have schemes, the Left hates God and more (video)

Single parenting spurs child abuse

Legalizing equal pay for women is wrong

Single mothers get government bribes

The War on Men will destroy America, and more

🤪 I wonder where and how he was educated. Surely, most schools don’t force students into thinking like a fruit fly. Even so, there was a time when we could have our reasonable differences between left and right-wing ideologies. But this guy prefers to focus on issues that divide us, no room for debate!

I also have an archive of videos taken at his town halls on my badgereye youtube channel. Pretty outrageous stuff which doesn’t seem to cost him any votes.

  3. joerossm says:

He’s outrageous because he craves the attention and knows he won’t be called to account by his constituents.

I remember during the uprising in 2011 — tens of thousands of people milling around the Square. Grothman was in the legislature and would enter and leave the Capitol by wading through crowds of chanting protesters just to piss them off. Later, back in his bachelor pad, he would realize that such confrontations were the only meaningful human contact he could get. So he’d do it again the next day.

This curious fellow’s “thinking” would be oddly amusing were it not for him actually having a vote in Congress. He may be a bit whacked, but what does it say for the district that keeps re-electing him?

  5. GodzillakingMKE says:

He’s a pathetic sniveling white supremacist crony.

To Jaimcb: Homestead High School in Mequon, followed by undergrad degree and law degree from UW-Madison.

The 6th CD keeps electing Glenn Grothman because of gerrymandering. That is how Glenn was able to graduate into the US House of Representatives. In at least the past four cycles, he has been challenged by outstanding candidates who were unable to get closer than a ten-point spread due to gerrymandering. His constituents, including me, have attended town halls and written letters every chance we get, however, our votes are wasted, they do not count because of gerrymandering. It is, in my opinion, the most consequential issue facing Wisconsinites in this census and redistricting year.

  8. Jaimcb says:

I agree about gerrymandering. Are there any existing campaigns that focus on changing that? Thanks, Jim, for the reality check. To think he went to normal or outstanding schools only goes to further my confusion about such minds.
