Where do you work and what makes your role awesome?

I work at VISIT Milwaukee. My role is incredibly awesome, as I get to work with and meet different meeting and event planners from around the country. My position allows me the opportunity to showcase the best of Milwaukee to these planners, to ensure their staff and attendees enjoy their time in our city and that they have a successful event here in Milwaukee. Our hope is that with a notable experience, these attendees spread the word and come back to our adored city with their family and friends!

What do you love most about Milwaukee?

What I love most about Milwaukee is a tough question, as there is SO much to love and enjoy about this city. I would definitely say our dining and beer scene is amazing, and hey, who doesn’t love our world-class attractions and the reason we’re known as the “City of Festivals?” The culture and excitement of Milwaukee, along with the friendliness of Milwaukeeans, are second to none.

Where do you see Milwaukee in five years?

In five years, I see Milwaukee continuing to be on the top list for visitors and convention groups. There is a lot of positive energy and excitement taking place in the downtown area with the new Bucks Arena and streetcar, in addition to the new Northwestern Mutual tower and developments along the lakefront. Our neighborhoods are experiencing a resurgence, as small businesses and local entrepreneurs invest in their communities. This will bring more jobs, more development, and more people to Milwaukee for years to come.

What is your biggest hope for this city?

My biggest hope for this city is to stay wonderfully random, with all of the ‘only in Milwaukee’ experiences it offers. With hopes of continued growth in our neighborhoods, the uniqueness of Milwaukee is something that will continue to draw peoples’ attention and keep them coming back for more.

What is your favorite Milwaukee tradition?

My favorite Milwaukee tradition is summertime and beer gardens! A place where I can enjoy a beer outdoors with some good company, is one of my favorite pastimes during the summer. Our beer gardens offer a true Milwaukee experience that brings communities together and is a great way to enjoy some local flavor.
