Where do you work and what makes your role awesome?

I work for Urban Innovations at HUB640 as the Maintenance Building Engineer. What makes my role so awesome is that I get to meet so many great people who work and live in the city, as the building that I manage has residential, commercial and retail space. I love that our building is in Westown, which is growing like crazy and we are a going to be a big part of it with all the work that is planned for the HUB640 Building!

What do you love most about Milwaukee?

I love that Milwaukee is a “big city,” but it is still small enough where it is not a problem to get around town and go where you like without a struggle. Summer is great with so much going on and all the festivals and outdoor activities.

What is one word that you would use to describe Milwaukee?

Growing!

What local restaurant is at the top of your list?

Café Lulu in Bay View is the local restaurant on the top of my list. The food is always great and the staff is really friendly with great service. They have seating indoors and out. It’s a great place to just grab a drink or stay for dinner. It has a great vibe and very chill atmosphere.

What is your favorite Milwaukee tradition?

My favorite Milwaukee tradition is all the festivals that we have all summer long. It seems like all summer there is a festival at least once a week if not more. Summerfest is the classic, but all the other festivals on the lakefront are great as well.

What do you think is going to be a game changer for the city in the year of 2018?

I think that the new Bucks Arena will be a game changer for the city in 2018. Not only is it a new area for our sports teams, but I think that it will bring a lot of tourism to the city with the entertainment district and all they have going on around the new arena. I also think the streetcar is going to be a game changer for this city. I hope it’s a good, efficient way to get around the city and will be used a lot by the community.
