Where do you work and what makes your role awesomesauce?

I work at Associated Bank as the Supervisor of Talent Development, which is our training department. What I love most about my role is that I get to introduce colleagues to the positive and inclusive culture of Associated Bank and help set the tone for their experience with us. I’m passionate about the development of our colleagues and enjoy keeping them engaged through learning opportunities. I work with extraordinary people, on my direct team and throughout the organization. It’s a great bonus to be the official bank of the Brewers and Packers.

How long have you lived in Milwaukee and what brought you here?

I’ve lived in Milwaukee my entire life, attended UW-Milwaukee and have no intention of leaving. I love to travel, but always feel nothing compares to home. I love this city and all it has to offer!

What do you love most about Milwaukee?

I love the hidden treasures of Milwaukee that so many of us take for granted. We have excellent restaurants in every neighborhood, diverse night life, music and culture for all ages. Summer in Milwaukee is amazing to experience for residents and visitors. I love Brewers Games, open patios, festivals at the Summerfest grounds, concerts and so much more. We’re lucky to have the abundance of a big city, but the ease of navigating in a smaller city.

What is one word that you would use to describe Milwaukee?

Eclectic, there are so many diverse attributes that make us Milwaukeeans.

What is your biggest hope for this city?

My biggest hope for our city is to work together toward a city that thrives on learning from our diverse backgrounds and eliminate the segregation that still exists today. I can see that hope becoming a reality with young professionals and future generations connecting to break down those barriers.

What is your favorite Milwaukee tradition?

There are too many to choose from. Opening Day for the Milwaukee Brewers is a personal favorite. I’ve attended Brewers games since childhood at County Stadium and continue to support our home team at Miller Park. The excitement of the season kicking off, celebrating with family and friends, and baseball exude the energy of Milwaukee and our community.
