What is your job and its responsibilities?

I am the owner and agency director at Ohlsson Model & Talent. I scout and book models on jobs, build relationships with clients, oversee my amazing employees, pay the bills, answer the phone, take the trash out…

Was there a point where you decided this was the city you wanted to live in?

I don’t think there was a particular point where I thought, “Yup, this is it”, but I can honestly say that the longer I am here, the more I enjoy living in and being from Milwaukee. It wasn’t immediate for me, it was more of a sneeker.

What is your favorite Milwaukee beer?

Riverwest Stein

Favorite place to grab coffee/an after dinner drink?

Colectivo! Although I will never get used to not calling it Alterra. My husband and I often grab a coffee after dinner and just walk around.

Where do you see Milwaukee in five years?

It feels like Milwaukee is about to blow up in a really amazing way. I love that there is this new energy bringing more small independent businesses, startups, and the restaurant scene is, in my humble opinion, one of the very best in the Midwest.

What do you think of Milwaukee as a place to work and do business?

Milwaukee has been an amazing city to start a business in. Not only has it been super supportive and welcoming, it’s a manageable city. If you’re someone who wants to take a chance and follow your dreams, you can do so here, surrounded by all this creative inspiration building up everywhere you look while still affording to feed yourself.
