What is your job and its responsibilities?

I am a Managing Partner and CTO at Penrod Software, a Salesforce.com Implementation Partner, which specializes in Financial Services and Health & Life Sciences. I am responsible for management of our implementation team and the architecture of our large enterprise partners, who are building out full solutions on the Salesforce.com Platform. Penrod Software brings a youthful and energetic approach to the technical consulting world. I drive these values into our team on a daily basis to ensure our partners are getting a unique and successful experience to the Salesforce.com implementation approach.

How long have you lived in Milwaukee & what brought you here?

I moved to Milwaukee in 2001 to attend college at UW-Milwaukee. Since that time, I’ve lived and worked in Milwaukee and its surrounding communities. Currently I work in the Historic Third Ward, where the Penrod Software offices are located.

What is your favorite Milwaukee tradition?

A classic tradition that I love is tailgating at Miller Park before a Brewer’s Game. It’s great grilling burgers, having drinks, and enjoying time with friends. There is a real sense of community in the parking lot on game day that I feel brings out the best of Milwaukee.

Favorite place to grab coffee/an after dinner drink?

My favorite place to grab coffee is Bella’s Café in the Third Ward. They also make some amazing breakfast sandwiches! Also in the Third Ward, Club Charlies is my favorite location for an after dinner drink.

What is your favorite Milwaukee event?

This is a difficult question to answer with the variety of events Milwaukee has to offer, especially in the summer. If I have to choose one, however, I would choose the Lunar Series Rooftop events at the Milwaukee Athletic Club. Not only does it offer the best views in the city, it’s a great way to network with new people.

What do you think of Milwaukee as a place to socialize and play?

Milwaukee provides a very fun and enjoyable social scene. It has a “small town” feel, where you can walk into most places and see someone you know, but also allows a large variety of options for fun and play you would expect from a big city. Being part of a startup results in long weeks, but Milwaukee helps balance that out with the daily options of relaxing and fun activities the city has to offer.
