Fresh tomatoes, beans, peas, corn, green onions, blue berries, peaches, cherries, herbs, flowers and on and on. A great farmers market can be an explosion of produce, not mention cheeses, eggs, bakery and other items. Every market is just a little different, yet all have in common a closeness to the bountiful agricultural area that is Wisconsin.  It’s fun just looking but better to buy: you get tasty stuff to eat while supporting local producers and promoting a healthy lifestyle. There’s no shortage of great farmers markets in the metro area, but many consumers like to make a day trip out of it.
