"My favorite event has all the beautiful people you need to know in one space."
What is your job and its responsibilities?
I work at the MAC. You know, the Milwaukee Athletic Club. Workout. Network. Have Fun? It’s only the best city club in Milwaukee, with warm water pools, overstuffed furniture in the bars and restaurants, and the finest friends downtown Milwaukee has to offer.
At the MAC, I do fun things like develop and implement marketing plans and strategies to analyze member engagement and retention.
How would you rate Milwaukee as a place to socialize and play?
Milwaukee is about 4.5 stars on my radar. Milwaukee’s diverse set of neighborhoods allows people to find their cultural niche. Popular examples include the obvious brewery tours, music festivals, bars, concerts, art shows, theaters, etc. However, the real fun happens at the parks, the beach, the trail, and of course the MAC.
I find the most unique thing is the thriving network of young professionals. It’s led to things like YP Week, Startup Weekend, Flying Car, and an array of monthly networking and social events.
Do you see this as a good city for young people?
The only real thing that maybe sucks about Milwaukee is winter and parking tickets. Otherwise, it’s an affordable, friendly, and active city to live in.
What is your favorite Milwaukee event?
That’s easy. My favorite event is the NEWaukee Music Lunar Series. The event has drinks the way you want them, one of the best views of the city, and all the beautiful people you need to know in one space.
What is the one thing you’d like to change about Milwaukee?
I encourage business owners and industry leaders to move businesses and headquarters to downtown Milwaukee. It is an imperative for this city to attract and retain talent to compete on a national and global level.

Excellent comment on encouraging business owners to move business to downtown Milwaukee! I think our city is progressively becoming a more and more competitive in terms of places to live, places to visit, and places to start up a business. Outsiders are getting whiff of what an exciting, yet low-key city Milwaukee is.
