Living here in the South (Tennessee), I have yet to find any ‘Que that is as good as Ashley’s or Speed Queen. I am happy to see Ashley’s expanding to the Walker’s Point location, making it a short drive for many.
Most here are too dry for my taste, or over-smoked, leaving an unpleasant, ashy flavor.
It seems this Milwaukee gal will have to return home sometime just to enjoy some REAL
bbq ribs smothered in sauce.
I have had the opportunity to visit both Ashley locations and what is equally good as the food, is the service and personal appeal of Darnell and his son Jazz. The ambiance at Ashley’s Que is outstanding!!!! They deserve all thumbs up!!!!
