After a long year of planning and preparation, IN:SITE’s latest public art project, Art on Fond du Lac, opens this Saturday. Wrapping up the weekend is the first annual Milwaukee Neighborhood Art Fair.

TCD’s Kat Murrell caught up with Peggy Christiansen, artist Robert Byrd, and Jeffrey Percival for a behind-the-scenes preview.

Art on Fond du Lac is installed between 17th to 37th Streets along Fond du Lac Avenue. The exhibition kicks off with events starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 29. More information including a map and schedule can be found at IN:SITE Milwaukee’s website.

The Neighborhood Art Fair will be held at the Fondy Farmers Market, 2200 W. Fond du Lac Avenue, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, June 30. More here
