Well, yes yes yes, if indeed you do dive deep into Marnie Stern’s lyric pool without the accompanying GLORY SOUND radiating from her new elpee “The Chronicles Of Marnia” you might think she’s going through some sort of mid-life crisis and/or having a difficult time dealing with the inevitability of being shuffled off of this mortal coil (and you’d be right). But man… listen to those insane vocal arrangements while yer marveling at what she can do with an electric guitar and only ten fingers. All you can help but feel is lifted up.
