One of my favorite classic summer products is Smith’s Rose Bud Salve. It was first formulated in 1892, and since then not much has changed, including the adorable vintage tin. Rosebud Salve does it all and works as a perfectly pink tinted lip-gloss, blemish treatment and scented hand lotion. The mix of essential oils smells like fresh roses, which makes for the perfect summer scent. Summer is the best time for bold, funky colors. Daring nails are the perfect way to express yourself, or accent any outfit. With the neon craze this summer, I’ve been loving Essie’s new neon polish colors, like their bright orange “Action” color, juicy pink “Camera,” tantalizing purple “Bahama Mama” and lush “Turquoise and Calcos.” These bold and flirty colors add some serious color to your world and are perfect for the beach or fun summer adventures. $8 at most drug stores.
Get your beach on with Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Spray. This saltwater-based spray gives your hair fresh, right-off-the-beach volume and texture to create faux wind-blown tresses. My favorite is M.A.C’s Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden, which is the perfect balance of glimmery gorgeous color. With a few quick cheekbone strokes, I can go from ghostly to glam in 30 seconds flat.
