Fashionable ways to show you care

Zebra Initial Pendant in Purple by Sweet Symphony Jewelry on Etsy.com

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, you may be wondering what to get the loves of your life, whether they are a spouse, parents, grandparents, other relatives, or friends. Let’s take a fashionable slant this year and get them things they’ll love and use (not that awful holiday sweater they feel obliged to wear).

Ladies first; for the tweens or teens in your life, charm jewelry is all the rage. Of course, you probably loved it as a girl as well. Who doesn’t love the tinkle of charms gently hitting each other? This initial charm necklace is cute and fun — two things any girl likes. Besides the larger charm, it has smaller charms such as beads and hearts. You can get it customized with her initial of course.

Personalized Tote by Bagged + Loaded on Etsy.com

Or how about a personalized tote bag with a calligraphy heart and her name on it in her favorite color? Tote bags are great for anyone, and so is this gift but especially for a girl who has sleep overs, school events and activities to haul stuff to. This bag makes it all about her with her name emblazoned on it. Who doesn’t feel special when they see their name? This will remind her of you whenever she sees it.

Flower Girl Art Print by My Different Strokes on Etsy.com

If your tween or teen likes to put things up on her bedroom wall, how about a fashionable art print? Here’s a colorful, fun picture of a girl enjoying a bed of flowers. Who knows, the artist may even do a custom print that has your tween/teen’s hair and eye color.

Valentina Blue Necklace by Truly Inspired Jewelry on Etsy.com

For the woman in your life, let’s talk jewelry. Here is a long necklace that any age woman will be happy to wear. It’s handcrafted and features silver and bronze chains with an eye catching oval filigree. This type of necklace is great for all body types and for cool complexions, since it’s largely silver.

Wouldn’t you like to effortlessly put together a striking outfit almost instantly? So does the woman in your life. Here’s how to do it: add a scarf to even the simplest outfit and you instantly look polished and put together. You can use any kind or shape of scarf that works for you.

Handpainted Wool and Silk Scarf by Silk Scarves Colorado on Etsy.com

Personally, I like long rectangle scarves that allow you to wrap and fold them in numerous different ways. This silk and wool hand painted scarf in shades of blue, size 14×68, would be hard not to like.

Handmade Flame Tie for Teens by Wexford Treasures on Etsy.com

We haven’t forgotten the men! For the tweens and teen boys in your life, now is the time for them to become familiar with a tie, including how to actually tie it. Yes, no matter what they intend to do as a career, being comfortable with a tie starts now. This tie, made especially for boys, is a fun and colorful fabric that most boys will be happy to wear. If you don’t personally know how to tie a tie, print off the instructions online and enclose with your gift.

Personalized Camo Duffel Bag by EBEGifts on Etsy.com

Similar to girls, boys have tons of activities, sleep overs and sports events to haul stuff to. What’s better for all of that than a duffel bag with their name on it? This will lessen the “I lost it” syndrome. Their bag will be easy to find among the pile of duffels. This particular one has a camouflage print which is macho enough for all of your boys.

Mens Personalized Bracelet by Daintily Designs on Etsy.com

On to the men. A lot of men like “manly” jewelry, but are hesitant to try something new, besides the wedding ring. A painless way to broaden their horizons is a personalized leather and metal rustic bracelet. You can have any short message stamped into it both front and back. This is a great gift for a man of any age.

Don’t you love and appreciate it when the man in your life is groomed and smells good?

Men's Organic Grooming Set by Herban Lifestyle

Yes, even if you’re another male, you can still appreciate this if it’s your dad, grandpa, or brother. This gift is the foundation of fashion — a grooming kit with shaving oil, facial soap, after shave and facial lotion. If the man in your life doesn’t use these things, it’s time for him to start. It’ll make him look and feel great.

Well, we’ve covered all genders and ages on your Valentine’s Day gift list so the hard work is over. Enjoy seeing their happiness and gratitude when they unwrap your fashionable symbol of how much you care.
