The Watchman cometh

In the last several weeks, Milwaukee seems to be abuzz with the phenomenon that is the real-life superhero movement. Some find comfort in knowing that a few brave souls have taken it upon themselves to patrol the streets of our fair city, while others have called for their unmasking in the vein of J.Jonah Jameson.

Is it asking for trouble? Or is it empowering communities? It’s hard to say, but one thing is for sure: it’s captured our attention, and perhaps made us all a little more aware of what’s happening in our own neighborhoods. This week Backstage talks to The Watchman, Riverwest’s own real-life superhero in an attempt to gain perspective.
