As the dog days of summer arrive, ThirdCoast Digest Associate Editor Patti Wenzel headed off to her favorite place to cool off — the custard stand! What’s up with custard? How is it different from ice cream and why are Milwaukeans crazy for this frozen treat all year round?

Patti did the tough work and found out the answers from the friendly experts at Kopp’s. Now get thee to the nearest custard stand — it’s so good!
