Seen and heard at Florentine’s “Opera Showcase”

By - Apr 27th, 2010 04:00 am

Last Saturday night saw the premier engagement of this year’s Florentine Opera Studio Artists at their Riverwest-based center. A few dozen devoted audience members witness pieces from operas such as La Traviata, Rigoletto, and even a sneak preview of Rio de Sangre. The Studio Artists seen here are Sarah Lewis Jones (soprano), Julia Elise Hardin (mezzo soprano), Aaron Blankfield (tenor) and Scott Johnson (baritone) under the direction of Scott Stewart. William Florescu hosted and narrated, while Jamie Johns accompanied at piano.
