MIDDLETON — Today Sen. Johnson sat down for an interview with the Milwaukee xJournal Sentinel Editorial Board. During the interview Sen. Johnson remarked that he does not respect Russ and considers him a “phony.”

In response to Sen. Johnson’s comments, RFW Campaign Manager Tom Russell issued the following statement:

Of course Russ respects Sen. Johnson and the office he holds. Russ simply has a different vision for how to do the job. Russ wants to help middle class and working families make ends meet where Sen. Johnson wants to continue looking out for big corporate interests.

Sen. Johnson would benefit from more time spent listening to Wisconsinites and less time engaging in hysterical partisan rants. He sounds like an angry politician desperate to save his failing campaign.

Russ for Wisconsin

Wow I hope “Russ” is going to be O.K…. he sounds pretty hurt.

Don’t worry, “Russ,” after you get some of that beautiful California sun on your face again soon, once you’re back to ‘teaching’, you’ll feel great and you won’t have to think about Senator Johnson or Wisconsin!
