MILWAUKEE (Nov. 10, 2016) – Artists, makers, and local retailers will present an alternative holiday-shopping experience at the Mitchell Park Domes Annex, Nov. 26 and 27, from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. The Domes are located at 524 S. Layton Blvd.
New to The Domes, Urban Garage Sale is an annual event showcasing the creative community of Milwaukee. This year’s event will bring together 65 vendors offering a mix of vintage goods, artwork, wood items, jewelry, apparel, and lifestyle merchandise. Most item are priced from $10 to $40.
Music from Milwaukee DJs will set the atmosphere, and food and beverage items will be available.
Local clothing maker Heavy Rotation produced the first Urban Garage Sale in 2007 at Turner Hall.
“With brick-and-mortar stores struggling and local makers looking for markets, the timing was perfect for new ideas,” said Brian Holoubek, event co-founder. “We’ve been focused on bringing Milwaukee together and supporting local shopping ever since.”
Entrance to the Annex for the Urban Garage Sale is $5. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free. Attendees will receive a $1 off coupon that can be used toward same-day admission to The Domes. Regular Domes admission for adults age 18 and over is $7; Milwaukee County Seniors with ID, persons with disabilities, students of any age with ID, and youth age 6–17 are $5. Children 5 and under are admitted for free.
