Youth Council to distribute $99,845 to Milwaukee youth programs
Applications for agencies interested in CDBG funding to be used for programs and projects benefiting city youths are due no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, October 13.
The City of Milwaukee Youth Council is tasked with allocating $99,845 of the city’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) reprogramming funds to different programs that positively impact the city’s youth. The Council is concentrating on programs that focus on youth employment, providing services to at-risk youth, and civic engagement.
Applications for agencies interested in CDBG funding to be used for programs and projects benefiting city youths are due no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, October 13.
The allocation recommendations will be sent to the Common Council’s Community and Economic Development Committee and will be made following a question-and-answer session with agency applicants during the Youth Council meeting on Wednesday, October 25 at 4:30 p.m. in the third floor Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 E. Wells St.
The meeting will be televised live by the City Channel via streaming video on the city website at www.city.milwaukee.gov/Channel25. It can also be viewed on Spectrum Cable and on AT&T U-Verse in the City of Milwaukee.
