It is pretty sad and pathetic that the Republican Party could not mention a few of the great, non-partisan programs that Herb Kohl supported which benefited all citizens of the State.
Kohl’s record as a Senator is a mixed bag. Some good, some bad. Good: An environmentalist, pro-choice and a supporter of civil rights. Bad: Bankruptcy “reform,” limits on damages and voting for the Defense of Marriage Act that banned federal recognition of same-sex marriage. Weird!
When you consider the extreme low quality of Republican Senators since Kohl took office, he looks George Washington.
Two more Kohl Goods: Implying Clarence Thomas had people helping him answer questions during his confirmation hearings. Voting against his confirmation.
