WisDems Statement on ProPublica Report Detailing Ron Johnson’s Massive Tax Break Not Just For Himself But Also His Biggest Donors

Madison, Wis. — In response to today’s eye opening new report from ProPublica that reveals  how Senator Ron Johnson championed a provision in 2017 GOP tax scam that not only gave his company a tax break, but also gave two of his biggest donors more than $200 million in tax breaks, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Senate Communications Advisor Philip Shulman released the following statement:

“Self-serving Senator Ron Johnson is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with politics. He worked overtime to deliver a massive tax handout to his biggest donors and himself, but turned his back on hard working Wisconsinites by refusing to support a middle class tax cut that would help local communities.”
