Wisconsin Republicans Pay More to Travel to the WisGOP Convention
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin Republicans are traveling from across the state to the Wisconsin Dells this weekend for their annual convention, but will face steeper fuel prices for their trip because they rubber-stamped the Trump administration’s illegal war with Iran.
“Nearly three months into Trump’s and Wisconsin Republicans’ illegal war with Iran, and with no end in sight, the cost of gas has reached record highs throughout the state,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Rachel La Due. “While Wisconsin Republicans may shrug their shoulders at the higher costs for their road trip, the skyrocketed price of gas has caused further economic suffering for working Wisconsinites already struggling to pay for rent and groceries.”
